A Word of Appreciation for the Recovery Version of the Bible
Recently, I got a copy of the Recovery Version of both the Old and New Testament and started reading it. I'm so thankful to the Lord to get a hold of such a precious Bible. The outlines are so rich! The subject of the book of Genesis can be summarized in 4 phrases--God created, Satan corrupted, man fell, and Jehovah promised to save. It's so concise yet touches the very central line of the divine revelation. Genesis is not just a book of creation but a book unveiling God's plan in relation to man. I have been reading the New Testament Recovery Version since I was a freshman in college when I was newly saved. I had several other versions of the Bible, hoping to find one which was easy to read yet at the same time faithful to the original Greek text. I was so happy to find the Recovery Version with its accurate text and rich footnotes. Since then, reading the Recovery Version of the Bible has been my daily enjoyment and supply. Everyday I receive a rich dispensing through the Word and this also enables me to minister Christ by sharing God's Word with the footnotes to people around me. Thank the Lord for His faithful servants, Watchman Nee and Witness Lee, who have been faithful to put the revelations and vision they've received from the Lord into writings to benefit all the hungry and seeking children of God. Glory be to God!
